Redfin Wins Company of the Year Award From Alliance of Angels

SEATTLE - Jun. 1, 2007:
Online real estate broker Redfin Corporation today announced that the company won the Alliance of Angels' 2007 Company of the Year award. Presented May 31 at the 2007 State of Technology luncheon in Seattle, the award honors and encourages the entrepreneurial spirit of new businesses in the Pacific Northwest. Past winners are The Insitu Group, which introduced the first unmanned aerial vehicle to cross the Atlantic Ocean, and Pacific Bioscience Laboratories, developers of the Sonicare toothbrush. Redfin is the first Internet company to win the award.

"Redfin wouldn't be here if angel investors like Amit Mital hadn't given us enough money and encouragement to make it through the summer of 2005," said Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman. "We are grateful that Amit and other investors have had the patience and the appetite for risk to really change an industry. We still have a wild ride ahead, but this award reminds us of how far we have already come."

Redfin combines an online home-buying and selling application with local, experienced Redfin agents who handle pricing advice, offer presentation, negotiations and the closing process.
